Why Wanderlust?

People always ask me, “What is Wanderlust?”

The definition is simply the desire to travel, but for me, it means so much more.

Wanderlust to me is the longing for experiences. The need for culture, types of interactions you can’t imagine, views from the other side. I’ve always felt wanderlust within me and my mission is to bring it out of all of you.

I was born and raised in Oshkosh, WI and I still call it home. My soon-to-be 16 year old daughter, Chloe and I share our passion for travel and form our closest bonds out in the world. I could not be more proud of her thirst for knowledge and her uncontrollable compassion for everyone she meets. I hope you enjoy seeing Coco (that’s what we call her) around the world and if you need her expertise on travel as a child, she loves to talk just as much as I do!

I was raised to be very hardworking, and I do believe that if you love what you do, it’s not really work at all. This is my dream. I started Wanderlust Travel not knowing if I would be successful, hoping that I could at least make enough money to travel a bit myself and have better tools to research all the places I’d love to go. In just over 8 months, it has far exceeded my expectations! I have been overwhelmed with the support I’ve been getting from friends and family, not only in trusting me to plan your vacations - everyone who has said kind words about my business or me as a travel expert, referred me to a friend, those who have businesses I’m collaborating with, I appreciate everything you have all done more than you know. Even just taking the time to read this blog post and hearing my story - thank you, seriously. You’ve all helped Wanderlust get to where we are today, and I look forward to bigger and better
